Keith Hittner is a Real Estate Broker, a C.P.A. and the founding father of the Hittner Group. Keith has a B.A. in finance, math and accounting from St. Mary’s University and is a certified public accountant. He currently specializes in the areas of new construction, move up home buyers and sellers. Keith also conducts regular seminars teaching first time buyers the ins and outs of purchasing their first home.

In 1993, Keith realized that the old fashioned, high-pressure style of selling was not only unfair to clients, but hard on agents as well. He decided to take a unique approach to helping people and translated his philosophy into action by forming the HittnerGroup. 

According to Keith, “My objective is to help our clients reach their goals. I’ve discovered that once you get to really know people, you can’t help but care deeply about what happens to them. Our customers know we are looking out for their best interests. More importantly, at the HittnerGroup, we never have to hide from past customers like some agents in this business.”

We take a long term view to our relationships. We are here to serve our clients long after they have left the closing table. Keith serves on the Minnesota Association of Realtors Governmental Affairs Committee where he is working to beneficially impact home owners and property values with positive legislation initiatives. Keith has also served on the Minnesota Association of Realtors Professional Standards Committee where he worked to insure that the Realtor Code of Ethics is under stood and strictly adhered to. As a member of the Professional Standards Committee he heard complaints and render opinions regarding enforcement actions surrounding Realtor adherence to our professional code of conduct. Keith serves on the examination review committee for the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The committee is responsible for the writing of the Minnesota Real Estate Examination and reviews the examination periodically to ensure that test questions are performing in accordance with acceptable parameters. This insures that new licensees are being tested on the relevant aspects of Minnesota Real Estate Law and have a working knowledge of that area of law.

Keith is a former owner of a medium sized independent real estate company. His company grew from 8 agents to over 250 agents in 5 offices. The company was sold to Coldwell Banker Burnet in 2008 and it is at CBB the Hittner Group operates from.

Keith has either supervised or directly written real estate contracts helping over 5,000 families realize their dreams. Having been involved in so many transactions and contract negotiations has given Keith a unique ability to understand and secure a positive outcome for the clients that he represents.

Aside from his love of his work, Keith’s interests include his children, grandchildren, Bible study, travel, classic books, golf, cars, BBQ and cigars!
